Tapered Roller Bearing
Tapered roller bearings are made up of four interdependent components: The inner ring, or cone; the tapered rollers, or rolling elements; the roller retainer, or cage(collectively known as the cone assembly); and an outer race, or cup. They are designed and manufactured to ensure that their conical rollers and raceways are arranged. so that their contact surfaces converge at a common apex on the bearing’s axis. The larger this contact angle the greater the bearing’s loading capacity.
